UPSC 2018 eligibility criteria for Assistant Director, Translator

Educational Qualification: Degree in Chemical/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering of a recognized University or equivalent for S.no-1. Bachelor’s degree in the Foreign Language concerned (TIBETAN) with English as a compulsory or elective subject at degree level from a recognized University. OR Bachelor’s degree with English as a compulsory or elective subject from a recognized University and Diploma in foreign language concerned (TIBETAN) with interpretership or translation standard from a University or Institute recognized by Government of India for S.no – 2.

Nationality: Applicants should be:

1. a citizen of India, or
2. a subject of Nepal, or
3. a subject of Bhutan, or
4. a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
5. a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka or East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (2), (3), (4) and (5) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India

Fee charges: Applicants who wanted to participate for UPSC should pay the below charges through remitting the money in any branch of the SBI by cash or by using net banking facility of the SBI or by using visa/master credit/debit card.

• Application Fee: Rs. 25/- (Rupee twenty five only)
